For my final year at University, I had to create a project after completing a certain amount of research. I researched about the lack of black Africans working in the Fashion Industry within the UK and came up with a solution of how to fix this.

 

I had multiple ideas based on my research, and came up with 6 different ideas. Here are the ideas I had:(Recruitment rules& regulations for organisations/ recruitment questionnaire/recruitment agency/app for jobs in the fashion industry/ casting for people who are finding it hard to work in the fashion industry).

From all of these options I picked to create a recruitment agency for just Black Africans who are finding it hard to work in the Fashion industry. I created a website for my agency offering different services for those black Africans to use to get jobs in the fashion industry. Alongside I created a report to show how this agency will be  reaching out to its consumers as well as other organisations. 

 

BME Recruitment also offers to help and support small black owned businesses that need recruitment, as well as big organisations which don't already have a diverse/inclusive workforce. 

 

This project allowed me to showcase and develop my content creating skills, research, social media strategy, analytical skills, creative and writing skills.
